On Thursday the 30th October, the S2 Chemistry class had the opportunity to visit The Clydeside Distillery on the banks of the River Clyde, as they are learning all about the distilling process in their lessons. As part of the Young STEM leadership programme, two of our S5’s also joined to assist and help. The trip included a wonderful tour from our guide, Matthew, who told us the history of whiskey and the production process where we got to see all the equipment and work that needed to be made to complete distillation!
