This week our Junior School hosted their first Christmas Fair – ‘A Christmas Cracker’. It was a great success – well done everyone! A huge thank you to our special visitors from the North Pole.
Each week at Enterprise club the children planned and designed items to sell. The entire Junior School got involved with each class arranging their own Enterprise stalls.
Junior 1 and Junior 2 created salt dough ornaments, manned a Christmas card creation stall and made a game called ‘pin the nose on the snowman’.
Junior 3 designed lovely snowmen mugs which they filled with chocolates and wrapped. They also created an Eco-friendly Reindeer Food Bar where customers were invited to make their own reindeer food.
Junior 4 made wreaths and filled snowmen baubles along with cones of snowman soup. Their stall sold out in record time!
Junior 5 ran a very popular cookie decorating station where customers were invited to create a gingerbread house! They also worked at a letter writing station where customers were invited to write their letters to Santa. Their popcorn cones were a sell out!
Junior 6 were very busy and made beautiful Christmas trees and hedgehogs out of old books!
The fair was a huge success and made a healthy profit of £380.
The Junior 1-3 Enterprise Club and Mrs Calway would like to thank everyone who supported this event either by donations, helping on the day or helping to set up. There’s already talk about when the next Junior School Enterprise event will be!
