On Friday night after school, Ms McDonald and a team of five S6 prefects headed to Townhead Parish Church in Coatbridge to begin transforming some very un-Christmassy areas into a magical winter wonderland fit for Santa. Working to assist The Millar Foundation, a charitable organisation set up by Mark Millar, the internationally-renowned comic writer who grew up in the area, the pupils worked to create a Santa’s Grotto fit for the special visitor himself. Over the course of 5 hours, they transformed the area.
The following morning, they were off again to Coatbridge, this time to take on elf duties! They accompanied Santa on his sleigh ride around Coatbridge, before putting in several hours working with him in his Grotto. The pupils were outstanding, impressing everyone with their conduct and effort (and elf work ethic).
All are now definitely at the top of Santa’s good list!
