Art Success!

4th Sep 2017

Before the summer holiday, a couple of classes worked on a joint Science/Art competition: ‘Amazing Art, Brilliant Science’. It was set by the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust. The pupils produced artworks depicting examples of Scottish wildlife being aided in the wild by DNA technology. The artworks are being selected to illustrate a book.

We have been informed that we have a finalist!

Stuart (Senior 4) did a beautiful study in charcoal and chalk of a brown hare. The finalists will attend an award day, held at Edinburgh Zoo on October 21st, where the overall winners will be announced. The Art & Design Department is very proud of Stuart, and we have our fingers crossed for awards day!
