At Belmont House School, delivering a first class level of education is our top priority, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun along the way. The school’s STEM Club is always coming up with new topics to entertain our pupils and they learn lots too. STEM is an acronym that stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Essentially it’s an interdisciplinary approach to education that combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to provide all-round development for students.
Our very own STEM Club investigated the “dunk-ability” of 3 different types of biscuits. The clear winner was Scotland’s very own, shortbread. It took the most dunks into a cup of milk before it disintegrated. It’s safe to say that we sampled our dunked biscuits afterwards, all in the good name of science of course!
