Burns' Art Competition

For our Burns' Art competition, all pupils in the Junior School produced a piece of artwork based on a Burns poem. Juniors 1 and 2 made a collage of "Hey, The Dusty Miller", Juniors 3 and 4 drew their interpretation of "Ode to the Toothache" and "Tae a Louse" and Juniors 5 and 6 painted or drew a scene of their choice from "An Epitaph for Holy Willie".

We were delighted that Mrs. Maureen Hall, former Head of Art at Belmont House agreed to adjudicate the competition. She was astounded by the work produced by all the children and found the competition so strong she decided to take two weeks to choose the winners! The pictures will be on display at Parents' Evenings. The results are as follows :-
