‘The Geography Department conducted two (3 day) residential fieldtrips to Kindrogan FSC Centre, near Pitlochry, Perthshire during October and November 2009. Both courses were designed to enhance pupil skills such as problem solving and teamwork whilst simultaneously reinforcing and furthering classroom learning.
The S5 Higher class covered material in relation to rivers, soil analysis and glacial depositional features.
The S3 Standard Grade class studied river landscapes, weather & climate and settlement with reference to the impact of tourism on Pitlochry.’
