School wins Xscape Choir Challenge Trophy
Three of our senior girls, along with Principal Teacher of Music Julie Smart, were at Xscape on Tuesday 2nd March to receive their trophy, on behalf of the Choir, as winners of the Xscape Choir Challenge 2009.

Burns' Verse Speaking Competition
Again this year, some pupils in the Junior School took part in the Burns verse speaking competition. The poems were: Juniors 1 and 2 recited "Hey the Dusty Miller", Juniors 3 and 4, "Ode to the Toothache" and Juniors 5 and 6, "An Epitaph for Holy Willie".

Burns' Art Competition
For our Burns' Art competition, all pupils in the Junior School produced a piece of artwork based on a Burns poem. Juniors 1 and 2 made a collage of "Hey, The Dusty Miller", Juniors 3 and 4 drew their interpretation of "Ode to the Toothache" and "Tae a Louse" and Juniors 5 and 6 painted or drew a scene of their choice from "An Epitaph for Holy Willie".
