Silver Success for Duke of Edinburgh's Award Group
Three Senior 5 students were presented with their Silver Award certificates recently. Burns' Verse Speaking Competition
Again this year, some pupils in the Junior School took part in the Burns verse speaking competition. The poems were: Juniors 1 and 2 recited "Hey the Dusty Miller", Juniors 3 and 4, "Ode to the Toothache" and Juniors 5 and 6, "An Epitaph for Holy Willie".

Burns' Art Competition
For our Burns' Art competition, all pupils in the Junior School produced a piece of artwork based on a Burns poem. Juniors 1 and 2 made a collage of "Hey, The Dusty Miller", Juniors 3 and 4 drew their interpretation of "Ode to the Toothache" and "Tae a Louse" and Juniors 5 and 6 painted or drew a scene of their choice from "An Epitaph for Holy Willie".
