The small and nurturing ethos of the Junior School affords a happy, focused and well structured environment for the academic, social and emotional development of all its pupils.
Through our attentive and high-quality teaching, we endeavour to provide the highest possible level of academic attainment and achievement for all our pupils and to equip them with skills they will need for a successful future.
In the early years, a strong and purposeful emphasis on learning core skills in Mathematics and Language underpins the ability of our pupils to progress confidently and successfully in other areas of the curriculum, which covers Environmental Studies (Social Subjects, Science and Technology), Expressive Arts (Drama), Information and Communication Technology, Religious and Moral Education, Personal, Social and Health Education. In many areas, such as PE, Computing, Music, Modern Languages (taught from Junior 1), and Art, our pupils benefit from being taught by Senior School subject specialists.
Extra-curricular activities such as drama, music, musical productions and sport give opportunities for all to achieve in other less formal yet important areas of the curriculum, providing our pupils with confidence and the skills to progress to the Senior School.
