Development
Belmont House School is investing heavily in the development of the current site to create new state-of-the-art purpose built facilities. This will accommodate Science Laboratories, IT Suites, Music and Drama classrooms, general classroom space along with a multi-purpose space which can be used as a Sports Hall, Assembly Hall or Dining Facility. Housed over two levels, this development will almost double the space that was available in the previous building and add 722m2 of usable space. Upgrading work will also be undertaken within the basement of the existing House providing changing accommodation for the multi-purpose hall.

A new dedicated pupil entrance will be created between the extension and the existing building; a place providing distinction between the old and new. Aesthetically the extension will remain in the style of the existing building by being finished in white render and thus improving the site appearance to compliment the quality of the Grade B listed building. This will increase site security producing effective ‘flow' of pupils, staff and visitors in the school.
This facility will maximise the use of space on campus and permit improvements to be made in the main building allowing even greater curriculum flexibility, improve the teaching environment and aesthetic appearance of the site.
Belmont House School seeks to achieve the following key objectives through this exciting project:
- Improvement of Senior and Junior School teaching facilities for all pupils.
- Increase pupil, staff and visitor safety through extended car parking facilities.
- Relocation and improvement of kitchen and dining facilities to new extension using new gym as a multi functional space.
- Use this development as Phase One of a complete site redevelopment programme.
- Create a building that establishes the ‘Belmont brand' as one of quality and modernity.
